A Belated Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!
We are so blessed. There is so much to be thankful for! We hope that you and yours had a wonderul holiday and took some time to appreciate all that you have. I know we did.
We spent Thanksgving day at my parents house and had a nice family evening. Before dinner, Chris’ parents and brother and my aunt and uncle came over for appetizers. It was really fun to have a big houseful and then an intimate dinner. Here are few shots from the night. Chris took most of these which is why he’s not in any of them
There was the usual football watching by the guys:
This year, the turkey was BBQed. If you haven’t done this….DO IT. SOOOO juicy and good! Of course, everyone had to check to be sure if it was done. Here’s my dad Paul and brother David (and best friend, Craig):
Is it done yet?
Mmmmmmmm
Lucy decided she wanted to BBQ her own bird. Though something tells me this one is going to be a little dry.
My sister (in law) Lesley and my brother David are expecting a baby girl in January! We are so excited!! Here’s Lesley showing off a shot to Craig:
Chris’ mom, Carolyn, and Luke. I love how Luke’s looking for something around the corner in this shot!
Chris’ Dad and my mom. We’re so blessed that our families enjoy spending time with one another.
Most of all, I’m thankful for my family.
We’ve been super busy and things seemed to catch up to us this weekend as we all came down with colds . . . could you see their little noses?
Seeing Luke in this last shot really reminds me that the world around us really isn’t swarming out of control – you just have to take a moment and just be and let God clear your head. Nothing like looking at a sleeping child to remind you of what’s most important. Here’s to lots of moments of peace in this upcoming Christmas season. Blessings to you all.
