This year I decided that celebrating Easter would be, for me, a lot like celebrating the New Year. While Chris and I made some great resolutions to work toward completing in 2008, I thought that this would be a good time of year to review and amend :-). So, as a means of celebrating Easter, I revisited and re-prioritized my resolutions. As a result of this process, I decided that the most important thing for me to do each day was to make sure I have my devotion/quiet time. I’m a little embarrassed that this isn’t a part of my daily routine…seems so simple, huh….but now I’m resolved that it will be. So, yesterday was my first day dedicated to this task. I know you won’t be surprised to hear that when I read in 1 Timothy, this was the message: ”…train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” I think that’s pretty applicable to my life right now. Funny how these things work, isn’t it :-). Now, my resolution is to train for godliness, and stand back and watch how God will use that to grow our business. We really enjoyed Easter, and I wanted to share some images with you. But first, one more story: I was walking from church to pick up Lucy at Sunday school and found myself thinking, “I hope somebody comments on her super cute Easter dress my mom made for her.” (I know…pretty shallow!) But when I got there, the teacher pulled me in and said, “Lucy did such a good job at circle time. When we asked the kids what Easter was all about she just looked at us and said, ‘Jesus’”!!!
That’s way better than a comment on her super cute dress!
