Fire Sun

I thought I would share this image with you – usually we have an amazing view of Mt. Diablo and the surrounding mountains, but lately, due to the fires, we see nothing but smoke.  The sun has been red and orange, a little unsettling for sure!  And with very little hint of a breeze, who knows how long it will stay like this.  

This image was taken at 8:30 in the morning, but it’s really hard to tell! Lately, it doesn’t matter what time it is because this is what the sky looks like all the time! I would expect blue sky – but it is white – and the peaks of the mountains to extend above the foliage, but the sky is just empty.   We’re praying there’s an end to all this real soon.
