…yes, we’ve been sucked in to another reality TV show. Hey – the Office and SNL and Boston Legal and Brothers & Sisters are all on hiatus during the summer. What do you expect?! 
Chris here on the blog again. I have to admit – I almost wept when my boy, Archuleta, didn’t win Idol. Oh I know, I know. David Cook was more “distinct,” and more “edgy” and more “marketable.” But honestly? Archuleta is a better singer. I think I’m just bitter that no person I’ve ever rooted for has actually won – they usually come in 2nd. Clay Aiken (yes, we voted for Clay). Blake. Melinda Doolittle. All not 1st….but they’re all fine and sucessful and all that jazz. I’m looking forward to David A’s first album. I still get chills listening to his renditions of Imagine and Think of Me. Of course, you can’t buy them in iTunes anymore…so we have to wait for the album. Bring it on!
So, since Idol is over, we’ve gotten hooked into So You Think You Can Dance. Love this show. I love the judging. I think Mia Michaels is amazing. I love Nigel’s crazy hair. I love Mary’s teeth and laugh. It’s such an addicing show!! And watching tonight? So fun!! I especially loved Mia’s “Tim Burton Wedding.” I highly recommend becoming addicted to this show….and I think what I love most about it is that it really is about pure talent. You can tell when someone knows how to dance or not. And as much as I like to think that I have rhythm, these competitors have GRACE.

On a personal note, we’re so tired around here it’s not even funny! Lucy successfully got an extra story out of me tonight after throwing a rather hysterical fit when it was time to go to bed. Hard to resist those blue eyes, I tell ya! I’m praying for a complete night’s sleep. The key is going to bed early, right?
