The Van Noord Family!

So, in honor of my maternal Grandmother’s upcoming birthday, we were asked to contribute to a scrapbook full of family images to contribute to the great big book.  Since we haven’t taken any “all family pictures” recently, we headed out to the Lake Merritt area of Oakland near (and in!) Chris’ office and explored a bit.  We had a great time – and got some super cool shots.  I’m really fired up about taking pictures that are all about the environment – texture, color, location, arcitecture – so I tried to capture that with us here.  Enjoy!!  You can check out the slideshow by clicking here.

My niece, Abygail, being thrown into the air by my brother. She is getting so big!!  I love the smile that comes from the feeling of gravity. ;)

The family in love. :)

Did you know that they sell cute kids at Trader Joe’s?  Who knew!

Our litte performer.  Check out her back foot – fully in the air!

My dad took the camera to shoot some of our family – I love this shot.  The focus, the composition, the moment.  We were laughing but Lucy was getting tired of pictures.  I can relate to my clients experiencing that feeling!  I just love the sweetness here…

We found these milk crates by our car right before we left and Chris sat the kids on them real quick.  They thought that was pretty funny!

And the whole clan squeezing in tight (captured thanks to a tripod and timer…)
