Lucy’s Turn

Yesterday I took advantage of Lucy’s perfectly bribe-able mood!  You see, when Mervyn’s was liquidating their inventory we purchased these 47 x 47″ aluminum frames that were used for them to display images of the clothing in their store.  I envisioned hanging two of them in the living room  (we have a perfect wall – that right now is white, but soon will be tangerine!!! – to showcase these huge images.)  

I can’t wait to get this project done!    I’m tired of the clutter of lots of little pictures…so I’m going BIG.  As big and bold as I can!!!  

I took some of Luke last week, so now, it’s Lucy’s turn.  Yesterday I was feeling brave, and she was happy, so I gave a photo session a go, with Lucy’s ultimate reward being a trip to dollar daze where she could pick out one toy to take home.  She went crazy nuts over the idea…and even let me brush her hair and choose her clothes!  It was a good day, but a rough shoot.  Part of me wants to try again, but you know how it goes – she’s healthy, she was happy and her bangs were just trimmed…it’s hard to know when all of those things will happen again at the same time :-) .  For now, I think I’ve fallen in love with number one.  Chris says he likes three – which one do you like?

February 2, 2009 - 4:11 pm Brad - I'm not sure if I'm too late, but I wanted to put in another vote for #3. Love it! Also, keep up the little photography tutorials. I'm practicing on our weekly pregnancy shots with Merrilee :)

January 29, 2009 - 11:15 pm Cammie - I love them all, but #3 is my fav :) And I remember from Christmas how hard it was to get picture of her then. She was not interested! These ones turned out beautiful. Great job Mom!! XOXO

January 23, 2009 - 2:15 pm Merrilee - Oh my! Another really hard call since all three are fabulous. I could go with any of them, but #3 just really seems to say "Lucy."

January 23, 2009 - 12:41 pm Rebecca - Again, they are all great, but I'm going to vote with Sara and pick #1. My primary reason is because I went back and looked at the 3 shots of Luke and if it were me putting large images on my wall, I would want some similarities between the two... that is, if some of the top 3 of Luke had been of him "at play" then I would maybe pick #2 or #3. But since his were all more fact smiling at camera (you!), I would pick the shot of Lucy doing that too. All that said, I know that you are more brave than I am when it comes to asymmetry, and you really can't go wrong with any of the images of either kiddo. :)
