When we flew down to San Diego to shoot Marissa and Craig’s wedding, we also packed up all of our gear to set up what we call “THE photobooth.” We decided a while ago that wedding receptions are WAY more fun for your guests (and your photographer!) when you have an activity for them to participate in. After all – who wants pictures of people eating? We set up THE photobooth and it’s open for business whenever there isn’t anything substantial going on during the reception (during happy hour, after dinner, during the dancing). It’s not an automated camera – one of us actually mans it (Chris took all these shots).
Craig and Marissa’s reception (at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club in San Diego) was SUPER fun, and their guests got WAY into THE photobooth! Also, this gives your guests an opportunity to have a professional family portrait taken while they’re already dressed up and looking good…these images can easily become the Christmas Cards for the year, and they can always buy prints from us that we take in THE photobooth! They will thank you when they see the final images.
Brides and grooms planning your weddings…we strongly encourage you to add THE photobooth on to your package when you book us! You’ll be glad you’ll have those images of your guests having fun and being silly, and they’ll have a great time at your wedding reception.
