I can’t believe that we are already talking about holiday photos – but – yes, I am. And it’s not too early. Trust me.
But let me back up. For the last 4 years I’ve had the privilege of working with David and Sharon Osteen, the owners of the Clayton Valley Pumpkin Farm. We’ve grown to become good friends and I have the utmost amount of respect for them and their business. (READ: If you don’t buy pumpkins at their farm, you really should.)
This year the Osteen’s have agreed to allow me to use their farm to do mini-sessions that will benefit World Vision. In case you are not aware, World Vision is an organization that partners with communities in 3rd world countries in desperate need of basic resources. The communities they work with are filled with grieving mothers who have lost children to diseases like malaria and bacterial infections from drinking foul water. The communities they work with are home to people who don’t ever have enough to eat, who need basic medical treatment and who lives would change with something as simple as mosquito nets to cover their beds at night. The communities they work with are filled with families who face challenges and loss beyond what I can imagine.
In support of World Vision, Chris (my business partner, IT Support & love of my life) is running in the Walnut Creek Half Marathon December 3.
We want our business to support this cause. This year we have decided to offer mini-sessions (at a really fabulous price) where 50% of the cost will go to World Vision by supporting Chris’ running in the Walnut Creek Half Marathon. Here’s the break down:
$150 gets you
- A 20 minute session with Sara at the Clayton Valley Pumpkin Farm
- A digital file of your favorite image
- an 8×10 print of the same image
- the option to order more prints via an online gallery
$75 goes to World Vision and gets a family in Africa mosquito nets, clean water and basic medial care.
Pretty much, everyone body wins. Here’s the details…please note that there are ONLY 6 SPOTS AVAILABLE so call or e-mail me ASAP to reserve yours.
Hope to hear from you soon!
