I’ve had the pleasure of doing quite a few newborns recently!  The babies always steal the show .  But I have to say, I’m loving the green rug!

Sean Patrick was born just 5 short days ago!  He was lucky enough to enter the world as a little brother to Caitlyn and be brought home to live with his family in an Eichler.  That’s pretty cool.

That’s why when Katie’s mama e-mailed me about newborn pictures, I was ecstatic.  And then, when I received the e-mail that she had made her entrance into the world and saw some of her first photographs, I was elated.  I could not wait to photograph this beautiful family.

I just love the new ones!  So I was thrilled to take pictures of Kyle and Sarah’s new one, Caitlyn.  Caitlyn was all of 3 days old for her first photo shoot.  And that made everything so much more fun!  Check out her images:

(By the way, I have a really fabulous wedding to blog but I’ve discovered something about myself.  Blogging weddings intimidates me to death!  What if I pick the wrong images and then no one hires me! OR what if I pick the wrong images and scare the brides who already hired me.  AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!  I can’t take that kind of pressure.  So I need to go do some deep mediation and breathing exercises before the next post.  Make that 2 posts…we have a really fabulous wedding this weekend we can’t WAIT to share with you all.  Until then…enjoy Caitlyn.  That shouldn’t be too hard

Kristine and I get a long so well for many, many reasons.  But I think one big reason is because she is an artist too.  The art that she creates she creates with her voice.  And I’ll tell you, if I can create art half as beautiful with light as she creates with her voice, I’d be satisfied!  The best part of the session was when she sang to Cameron to help him settle down.  ”Great is Thy Faithfulness…” effortlessly floated off of her voice, and you could see this little tiny baby relax.  It was such a blessing to meet with them, to see their little baby, and create these images for them:

But when Janowyn and her family hit the park, it takes on a whole new story.  No longer is Alamo Square simply a tourist magnet or the infamous image of San Francisco in the title sequence of “Full House” nor is it a place to stop and take in the view. Instead, it’s Janowyn’s domain!  She rules the playground equipment and confidently conquers all of it’s challenges.  She runs in the grass with her daddy and even stops to smell the flowers & follow the birds.  Now that she’s a big sister, sleeping in a toddler bed, and working on potty training, I would say that she has earned the right to redefine Alamo Square into her domain.

I had the honor of photographing Janyown, her family, and her new baby brother late last week.  I think the pictures say it all!  This little two year old is fantastically energetic – and so loving to her baby brother that it makes you smile.  And run really fast with the camera!  Take a look at their family pictures:

I wish I had time to tell you all what am AMAZING woman Rianna is, about her strong, loving heart – about the way she TRIUMPHS in adversity.  I wish I had time to tell you that she is one of the most genuine, gracious people that I know!!  Or that her house is perfectly organized even though she has a newborn…or that friendship comes so easy to her you all should want to be her friend…I wish there was enough time and blog space to document all of that, there just isn’t.  You’ll have to glean all of Rianna’s loveliness from looking at the images of her beautiful daughter:
