Modern Baby | Concord/Clayton Family Photographer

Welcome to the world, baby Sean!

Sean Patrick was born just 5 short days ago!  He was lucky enough to enter the world as a little brother to Caitlyn and be brought home to live with his family in an Eichler.  That’s pretty cool.

Caitlyn is a proud big sister!!!

She loves him so much!

Sean was the perfect baby….

So happy to be snuggled…

and resting in modern furniture :) .

Sean, we are so glad that you are here with us!

Jensen Family | Concord/Clayton Family Photographer

I know that I’ve said this before, but I really love extended family photo shoots.  Mostly I love them because I know how important these pictures are, and it’s simply a joy to create them.

I wanted to share these with you – and if it’s time for your family to get together to create images like these, give me a call!!!  It would be an honor to photography your family.

Lucy on the Bars

This is a BIG deal for Lucy!  At the beginning of the year Lucy could not make it all the way across the bars on the school playground – and *most* of the girls could.  I could see how hard that was for her, how she so desperatly wished she could do what they did effortlessly.

But my Lucy did not shy away from the challenge nor did she sit back and feel sorry for herself.  Instead, she came home from school everyday (did you hear that?  EVERYDAY) and practiced climbing up the bars on our swing set.  And then one day, she could go across 2 bars.  And then three.  And then four.  And before she knew it, she was going backwards and forwards racing against girls 1/2 size.

I am SO PROUD OF HER.  She put her mind to it, and she did it.

Way to go Lucy.  You inspire me :) .  I’m so glad that I’m your mama.

I’ll leave you with this last image.  I like her sassy little grin, as if she’s saying – come on world, I dare you.  Just try to hand me something you think I can’t do.  Watch me go.  Whatever you give me, I’ll master it.

Lucy, I’m watching.  And I’m convinced there ISN’T ANYTHING you can’t accomplish.

March 2, 2011 - 3:01 pm Merrilee - Oh Sara, I love that you shared these! You are such an amazing mama and Miss Lucy is evidence of that!

March 1, 2011 - 8:43 pm Jeanine Wakefield - LOVE the photos. Ok, so this sounds like something I might hear in your next Bible study teaching? Seems like a great analogy of how we should live out our lives as Christians. I love it when we can learn big life lessons from the innocence of a child. When life gets tough, it's so easy to give up and feel sorry for ourselves. But instead, God wants us to persevere until we conquer our challenges. Way to go Lucy--I am inspired too!
