Bay Area Engagement Photographer | Kendra and Nathaniel’s Guest Book

One thing that I’ve really loved creating for clients is professional designed albums that showcase the images from their engagement session. I wanted to share with you Kendra and Nathaniel’s guest book album that features images from their engagement session at Lime Ridge Open Space. It’s really important to me that images from an engagement session – or family session – or ANY KIND OF session are enjoyed and showcased! Chris and I put lots of love and sweat into creating strong, simple, striking images for our clients – and while we are happy to provide the option for purchasing the digital files, it’s SO important to us that the files get off of the computer and are transformed into something that can be enjoyed away from the screen. We love making albums from engagement sessions because these albums can also be used as a guest book on the wedding day!

I love albums in particular because it provides the perfect medium for showcasing images in different ways. For example, some images are simply stunning and striking when showcased BIG and all by themselves. But some strong images tell the story best when showcased in a sequence – when you can see similar images next to each other on the page. And sometimes one image stands out when it is supported by small images off to the side.

I love my job! I love that I live in the Bay Area, that I get to take photographs of people who are in love and engaged, and I love creating beautiful pictures! Jeremy and Lexi were recently engaged and I had the privilege of taking their engagement pictures recently. We went back to one of my new-favorite places (Newhall Park, in Concord, CA) and went up the trail to find some beautiful views. I love the Bay Area – I love that we have all these little nooks and crannies – unexpected parks and views a few blocks from a McDonald’s! This engagement session location reminded me a little of Kendra and Nathaniel’s, but totally different at the same time! Congratulations Jer and Lexi on your engagement! I hope you enjoy your pictures and slideshow!

Bay Area Wedding Photographers | Making New Friends

Hi everyone! Chris here on the blog…

One of the things that Sara and I have enjoyed so much about photography is the awesome community of wedding photographers that we’ve had the opportunity to meet. Whenever we get together with other wedding photographers, we get to not only talk shop, but we get to share friendship and a common bond! A few weekends ago, I got the chance to visit and talk shop, SEO, and share stories with a few cool folks from around the area when we met up in San Francisco – you should check out their sites when you have a sec! Bay Area Engagement Photography |Yoko and Joji

A few weeks ago Chris and I had the privilege of getting together with Yoko and Joji for their engagement session. Not only did we have the BEST dinner together (it was Burmese food – Catfish Chowder, Tea Leaf Salad, Mango Chicken…), we had a ball doing their engagement photos.

Yoko and Joji are planning a destination wedding in Oregon in just a few weeks. We can’t wait to go and be a part of it!!!! They are just delightful as individuals…and even more charming together. Their wedding is going to be fabulous!!!

This engagement post is a little different than what we usually do. A lot of couples wonder what to do with their engagement photo’s – so I wanted to do a post to show you what Chris and I think you should do with the images . We love to make the images into a guest book that you can display at your wedding and have the guest sign. Not only do you get 2 keepsakes in one (a guest book and an engagement album) but you get to show your guests your engagment pictures. How can you go wrong?
